eventually find just the right place, and with his help, we did.

Steve has helped me with the purchase of 2 homes and the sale of 1. The home sold in 1 day. Steve was great throughout the purchase process. He is wonderful at doing all the things that need to be done between the signing of the contract and the closing. 

Steve located homes for us to see and helped guide us in the purchase of our home.  If there were any questions we had about the
property if he didn’t have an answer he made it a point to find out what we needed to know. I found Mr. Caldwell from looking on the internet for realtors in the area we were interested in buying.  I called him and from that point he
was always available for calls and assistance and went out of his way to help us find the right home for the right price. If at any time we were unsure of anything he was there to assist and guide us in the right direction.  I would recommend Mr. Caldwell to anyone looking for an honest and dedicated realtor.

I was extremely lucky to find Steve to help sell my home. I was living in Charlotte at the time and my house was a rental property that needed a lot of work before it was ready to sell. Steve pretty much took on the entire project for me. Steve new what I should and shouldn’t do to the house in order to sell it quickly, and it did, the house sold in just a few weeks. 

Steve is absolutely amazing! We had the best experience working with him to buy our new home. We were first time homebuyers and he helped us every step of the way. He was able to explain the good and bad things about each property and help us make informed decisions. He went out of his way to make sure things were set up for our closing day and for our move in. And he has continued to check in with us to make sure we are doing ok. We love our new home and have Steve to thank for helping us get here! 

I cannot say enough about our wonderful experience working with Steve to find our home. We were first time homebuyers and had the added challenge of house hunting from a distance (before we moved into the state). Steve made us feel welcome to the community and helped us find our way here. He was so patient with us and explained every step of the process so we knew what to expect along the way. Excellent! Steve was extremely helpful in our house search. As first time homebuyers, we had lots of questions and a poor understanding of the process and Steve always made the time to go out of his way to accommodate us. Steve was excellent! This is the first house we have purchased, and he helped us every step of the way. He was patient with our questions and knew the good and bad things to look for in every house. We are first-time home buyers, and during our months of searching, we were also managing having a husband who was working out of town and a wife with a very complicated pregnancy, so there were a lot of added stressors. We decided to go with Steve after meeting with several realtors because we were impressed by his high level of experience, great previous reviews, and intimate knowledge of the local real estate market—and he wasn’t afraid to dig in with us and our challenging situation! We are so glad we did. He viewed probably 25 homes with us without a single complaint or sign of impatience, pointing out good and bad things at each home (very often things that we would have overlooked on our own). He was quick to respond to our inquiries, paid attention to our specific interests, and tailored our searches based on them. When we finally found the home for us, Steve walked us through the loan and closing processes step by step. He advocated for us time and time again as we encountered issues beyond our control (a bidding war, home repairs that had not been completed by the sellers to Steve’s high standards, and the resultant down-to-the-wire closing). It was stressful, but we felt confident in Steve’s ability to navigate the thornier parts of home purchasing. He also repeatedly followed up with us even after our home was purchased to make sure we were settling in ok (and giving us great guidance and resources when we had questions, even after our purchase). In every manner possible, Steve has shown us he was invested in our happiness with our new home, far beyond our expectations. We are so impressed with him, not only as a realtor, but as a genuinely great person. Steve has definitely earned our full respect, trust, and appreciation. We’ve already asked him how he feels about being our realtor when we’re ready to sell this home (in another 30 years or so)

Steve Caldwell was the only Realtor who answered the phone one weekend in November when it became clear we needed to quickly deleverage a property in the Roanoke area. Prior research indicated he was clearly experienced and well regarded in and around the Roanoke area. He seemed to already have each step in the process handled before we even got there. The property was listed for about 24 hours before it was under contract and eventually sold. I can’t imagine having had a better Realtor than Steve. His refined process just nailed it at every single turn. I might also add that he goes out of his way for people even outside the industry with a little newsletter that he prints out every month and sends out in the mail with all kinds of helpful tips for people of all ages about a variety of subjects. If I could give this guy more stars, I would. He’s a highly effective Realtor and a Good Guy. You can’t go wrong. 

Steve is amazing!!! We started working with Steve over a year ago, prior to moving to Roanoke. Even though he did not specifically work with rental properties, he was willing to walk through a property for us (which we eventually rented) and even shared the walkthrough on FaceTime. That small effort, for people he did not know, was all we needed to choose Steve as our agent when actually looking for a home to purchase. For 6 months + we were in and out of homes in at least 5 counties. Even with our priority list constantly changing, Steve didn’t rush us to make a decision, was always there for us and willing to speak clearly to any potential issues he noted in home, so if we chose it, we would not be blindsided.
From beginning to closing (and beyond), Steve has been there for us and that is something we REALLY appreciated and will always remember. We would most definitely recommend Steve for any real estate projects that you have!!

Within three weeks the house was under contract. Closed on the sale in another four weeks. Steve is very thorough when selling a home. Very detailed in how he arrives at his sale price by comparing to other similar homes that recently sold our are on the market. Determines the best attributes of your home to advertise to help with the sale. In constant contact throughout the process. 

Steve was our realtor when we relocated from the west coast on in rushed time frame. Steve was by far the most professional realtor we have worked with. As a couple new to this region, his knowledge was invaluable to our buying process both in the homes and the local areas (realistic commuting, what to expect with weather, etc). Additionally, his team of inspectors was top notch and it was apparent Steve and his team were masters of their field. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone buying a house (and have)!

All I can say is working with Steve has been fun and a pure pleasure. He drove us around Roanoke showing us everything we wanted to look at. We had no idea where we wanted to live or what we wanted to live in, but Steve hung in there and kept showing us listings. He provided us with daily emails that showed us what was new on the market. He showed up every morning to pick us up at our door to take us out looking. He responded to every email and every phone call quickly.
Steve was there through the buying process to make sure everybody was doing what they were supposed to do when they were supposed to do it. He kept an eye on everything and we closed when we were supposed to.

Here is an example of how Steve goes above and beyond, before we closed we had to have a home inspection. We are from out of state and were not in VA when the inspection was going to happen, who do you think arranged the inspection and was there for the whole thing? Yes it was Steve. These days it’s very hard to get anybody to do what they say they will do, I can’t imaging making the largest purchase in my life with a realtor I couldn’t depend on. Fortunately for us, Steve is a fantastic realtor and a wonderful person! I know for a fact he works for his clients from 6:00 am to late into the evening to make sure their experience is as good as it can be. I know I’m going on and on, but you would be lucky to have Steve Caldwell as your agent.

My wife and I worked with Steve Caldwell for both the sell of our home and the purchase of a new home. We have worked with other realtors in the past but never really felt that our interests were very important to the realtor. Steve however is very professional and know’s his stuff, previous realtors seem to know less than me about houses but this was certainly not the case with Steve. Our house sold within six weeks. He was very knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout the process. He is a true professional and you can see he cares about the quality of service he is giving you. I would definitely go to him again for my real estate needs. 

Steve was involved in every step of the purchase of our new home- from suggesting it to us in the first place all the way to last minute changes at closing. We had several problems come up as a result of concerns found by the home inspector. Steve walked us through these, advising us in our interactions with the sellers, calling in structural engineers and even last minute contractors when needed. Without his involvement I am not sure that we would have followed through on this house that we now call home.

Has a professional stager/photographer to assist you before listing. Our photos were high quality and believe they helped sell our house. We couldn’t have had a better experience working with Steve Caldwell. My wife and I needed to move from Boston to central Virginia for work in a three month time period, and from the beginning, Steve did a great job taking as much anxiety out of the home buying process as possible. We found Steve through a Yelp! review, and we are extremely happy we selected him. From the moment my wife spoke to him on the phone, he was ready to go. He asked targeted questions to help narrow down the options for our visit, and then he frequently followed up with listings and questions. Having Steve with us when we toured houses was invaluable. He was able to point out aspects of the house that would have been difficult to assess on our own, such as the quality of construction, the condition of appliances, and the general layout of the house. His advice and unique insight helped us make informed decisions. However, he also knew when to give my wife and I a bit of space to collect our thoughts and talk them through. After a handful of houses, he had a great sense of what we were looking for, and could even predict what houses we would like and not like before we saw them. Steve was also very helpful during the negotiation process. He gave us his thoughts on our offer, and then communicated our feelings to the buying agent. After we successfully had an offer accepted, Steve was able to recommend people for inspections and a survey, contacted the people needed on our behalf, and went to oversee the home inspection as our representative (since we were back in Boston at that point). Even after we moved into our new home Steve continued to assist us. He frequently checked in to make sure that the remaining repairs were completed as specified in our contract. He even made phone calls himself when he felt that repairs were not being done quick enough or to his satisfaction. He also just checked in to see how we were settling in and offered general suggestions for restaurants and entertainment in the Roanoke area. We cannot recommend Steve highly enough. He was always available day and night, and is as honest and open as you can get. We hope you have as great an experience as we did! 

We recently purchased a condo with Steve’s help. It took us quite a while to find what we wanted, and he was very patient. Once we were in contract he was there every step of the way. Things were a little bumpy with the seller but he was on top of every detail. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Steve to anyone!
